Magic Mud is a polymer based, extremely elastomeric drywall texturing, joint bridging and leveling compound.

Use
Magic Mud is used at seams, inside and outside corners on interior drywall for applications where traditional drywall taping compounds would normally crack.
Adhesion
Excellent adhesion to gypsum and cement board sheathing.
Coverage
Approximately 500 linear feet of wall board per 5 gallon pail.
Drying Time
1-4 hours, depending on climate. Drying time can be greatly affected by temperature and humidity.
Storage
Protect from freezing. Store in a cool, dry area tightly sealed. Recommended storage temperature between 40-90 F.
Clean-up
Water soluble when wet.
Shelf Life
One year, if protected from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
Limitations
- Ambient and surface temperatures must be above 40 F during application and drying period.
- Magic Mud should only be used for interior applications.
Surface Preparation
Substrate must be clean, dry, and free from all loose or foreign materials prior to application of Magic Mud.
Application
Magic Mud is applied to the substrate using the same tools and techniques as standard drywall compound. However, because of the high Acrylic Polymer content and its elastomeric characteristics, this is not a product that is easy to sand. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not crown seams or joints to be sanded smooth later.
