1/2" Fiber Reinforced Cement Stucco System
Description
Our 1/2" Stucco is a powdered cement and fiber reinforced underlayment for use with acrylic finish coatings. It provides the impact resistance of traditional stucco with substantially less labor and weight in a 1-hour rated fire assembly.

Use
Our 1/2" stucco is used on exterior walls where a cement stucco system is desired, or in applications where a fire rating is crucial.
Adhesion
Good adhesion to woven wire, metal lath and appropriate cement substrates.
Working Time
Sets in 2-4 hours after being mixed with water and 200 pounds of mason's sand.
Coverage
Approximately 80 square feet per container for flat substrates.
Mixing
Bags of mortar should be mixed with 180 - 220 pounds of mason's sand and enough water to provide desired consistency. Requires a standard cement mixer.
Drying Time
Minimum 24-72 hours, depending on climate. Drying time can be greatly affected by temperature and humidity. Insure product is properly hydrated in hot weather.
Storage
Protect dry material from water and high humidity conditions.
Clean-up
Water soluble when wet.
Shelf Life
Use as soon as possible and protect from moisture.
Limitations
- Ambient and surface temperatures must be above 40 F during application and drying period.
- Cement Stucco should never be used on horizontal surfaces.
Surface Preparation
Substrate must be clean, dry, and free from all loose or foreign materials prior to application.
Application
1/2" Cement Stucco is applied with trowels or appropriate spray equipment to substrates over compliant WRB, attached wire lath and proper accessories. Product should be troweled or darbied smooth and allowed to dry and cure.
